Marker and watercolor on illustration board. 11″ x 17″ -1989
This is another experiment in linear and flat design over modeled space. The background was actually a scrap, water-stained illustration board. After initially trying to make something of it with watercolor, I grabbed the set of cheap markers I had and started with the balls/planets in the middle background. The figure came later, and you can see some butterfly/peacock influences, as well as almost a Rorschach quality. I like it better as time goes by.
